THE MAIN USER PAGE

• Stories: the chatbot interaction with the AI is called a “story,” the visual content generated by the prompt is called a “storyboard”

  • Storyboards: users can engage with the catalog of their previous storyboards

  • The default page setting allows a user to begin a new interaction with the AI

  • “+ New” button: is only active when a user in their storyboard history

• Chatbot window

  • “Best Visual” dropdown menu: users can choose how they want their information visually presented/displayed (not choosing a specific visual type means the AI will choose for you)

    • Timeline: Order and Arrange Events

    • Mind Map: Summarize and Connect

    • Quadrant: Compare and Analyze

    • Table: Organize and Simplify

    • Flowchart: Process and Flow

• “Inputs” dropdown menu: users can upload various files to provide source material for the AI to reference (CVS/Excel, PDF, Image, Youtube Link, Link Address, Long Text)

• Web toggle: the default setting is “off,” toggling it “on” means the “AI will search the web to find key info from relevant sites”

• Storyboard options: clicking either the left or right action arrow ( < or > ) scrolls through pre-generated story visuals/responses

WORKING WITH A STORY

• Blackboard icon (upper left-hand corner): toggle the icon “on” for a full-screen view of the storyboard; toggle the icon “off” to access AI features

• Presentation icon: feature unavailable for free accounts

• Share: users can share a storyboard via a hyperlink or they can embed* the content in a webpage

  • For hyperlinks: free plan storyboards are public and discoverable online but they can be made private with an upgrade; students can see the shared storyboard but they need to create an account to interact with it

  • *With an unpaid plan embedding the code did not work

  • When downloaded, the storyboard contains a MyLens AI watermark (the watermark is removed for paid subscribers)

  • ··· : click to delete the storyboard

• Ask AI: the user-AI chatbot interface

• AI-associated menu:

  • Color dot: design color options

  • Edit: storyboard content cannot be edited with a free plan

  • View changes: some storyboard formats allow a user to zoom in or out

  • Related, AI-generated storyboards appear under the chatbot with follow-up content

MISCELLANEOUS

• Visuals can be: shared via hyperlink, embedded into a webpage using HTML code, displayed like a slideshow in “Present” mode, or downloaded

• Settings & Members (gear icon) > Settings > the user can edit the name of their workspace
